Self-service in Teams

A personal app in Teams. Users export their own 1:1, group and meeting chats without a ticket to IT or a Purview case.

Portable output

Searchable HTML that works offline, JSON for tools, CSV for spreadsheets. Replies, reactions, edits and attachment metadata are kept.

Integrity built in

manifest.json and SHA256SUMS.txt hold the hash of every file; the hash of the ZIP is shown in the app and in the audit log.

Admin control

Policy (on/off, formats, maximum range and size) and an audit log of who exported which scope and when – without message content.

Least privilege

Only delegated User.Read and Chat.Read. The app sees only chats that the signed-in user is a member of.

Nothing kept

Exports are built in memory and deleted after 15 minutes. Tokens are never written to disk.
